Nick's Picks: Rohrbach's Cookies & Milk Stout

What’s better than cookies and milk? How about cookies and milk and beer?

Yesterday Rohrbach Brewing made this dream a reality with the release of its Cookies and Milk Stout. This brew is the newest member of Rohrbach’s Neoteric Series—an ever-changing collection of unique, small batch ales and lagers. The stout follows Rohrbach’s last Neoteric Series release, Malster Matt’s Brown Ale.

To celebrate its new creation, Rohrbach’s Beer Hall at 97 Railroad Street is holding a release party tonight at 5 p.m. Attendees will get complimentary samples, a homemade cookie served with your first pint, and, if you’re early enough, a custom, limited-availability Cookies and Milk pint glass.

Thought up by brewer Nicki Forster, who wanted to add a fun twist to her love for milk stouts, Rohrbach’s latest product is the perfect brew to settle down with in the dead of winter. Vanilla, specialty malts, and cacao combine to create a creamy, full-bodied taste. Despite its name, the Cookies and Milk Stout is not as sweet as you’d expect— only subtle notes of chocolate shine though.

Cookies and Milk Stout is now available on draught at Rohrbach’s Beer Hall and Rohrbach’s Brewpub on Buffalo Road, as well as in four-packs at select local beer destinations.
